You’re not broken, lazy, or undisciplined. But you might be scattered... energetically, mentally, emotionally. Reclaiming your energy isn't always very straight forward and that's why you'll love this blog.
Ever feel like you’re putting in effort but getting nowhere fast? You’re not alone. This is one of the most common energy blocks I see in my tarot and Reiki sessions.
Whether you’ve been juggling too much, struggling to follow through, or just waking up feeling behind before the day even begins, it’s time to take your energy back.

Step One: Know the Symptoms of a Scattered State
Recognizing when you're in a scattered state is essential for regaining focus. Here are common signs to be aware of:
Difficulty concentrating on tasks, resulting in unfinished projects.
Persistent feelings of mental fatigue, even after a full night’s sleep.
An increased sensitivity to minor annoyances, triggering frustration.
A growing to-do list that expands faster than you can manage.
Staying constantly busy but nothing seems to get done.
Sound familiar? This isn't just a productivity problem... it's a disconnect between your mind, body, and spirit. It needs healing, not hustling. To understand these symptoms a good start is acknowledging that you feel scattered so you can start to implement effective strategies to ground yourself.
Step Two: Ground and Reclaim Your Energy
Quick Grounding Exercise (3–5 minutes)
Sometimes, all you need is a brief grounding exercise to reset. Here's a technique you can do almost anywhere:
Find a quiet spot where you won't be disturbed.
Take a deep breath in through your nose and exhale slowly through your mouth. Repeat this for a few cycles, aiming for a calming rhythm.
Visualize your energy as a warm light within you.
Imagine that light expanding and radiating down through your legs and into the ground, anchoring you to the Earth.
After a few minutes, take one more deep breath and open your eyes. Take note of how you feel afterward.
This quick exercise can help you tap into the present moment and release scattered thoughts and I'd love to hear what you thought if it if you tried it yourself. See you in the comments.
Pro tip: Pair this with a Reiki self-treatment or get a remote Reiki session for deeper clearing. Book one here.
Clear the Noise with Journaling
Writing can significantly help clear mental clutter. Here's a simple journaling exercise you can follow:
Spend a few minutes reflecting on your current state. What is weighing on your mind?
Write down everything that feels chaotic, whether it’s tasks, feelings, or thoughts.
Pick three core themes from your list. For each theme, write a brief paragraph about what you can do to address it.
Make this practice a weekly habit... your personal ritual. Not only does journaling promote clarity, but it also keeps you aligned with your true self as you remove distractions.

Step Three: Create an Energy Container
Here’s the key to remember: Everything you say “yes” to costs energy. If you’re saying yes to too much (even mentally), your power leaks.
This week, set up an “energy container”:
Identify your top 3 priorities for the next 7 days. What matters most to you during this time?
Say no to requests that don’t fit those priorities. This strategy may involve setting clear boundaries with friends, family, or work commitments.
Track your energy levels daily. Notice how much more energized you feel when you stop spreading yourself thin. You might be amazed at how liberating saying no can be!
Energy is Your Currency
When you’re scattered, it’s like having 12 browser tabs open in your brain... everything slows down. But when your energy is focused and grounded?
You make decisions faster.
You follow through more and more easily.
You connect with your authentic self.
These shifts transform how you navigate everyday challenges. Comment below to share with me when you'll start!
